Studeniya chal (2,767 m) is a peak in Eastern Rila, northeast of Malka Musala and Irechek, south of Deno and southeast of the Sphinx rock formation. It is an imposing massif of several tops, the western one being the highest.
Its slopes are grassy and rocky and hard to access. The southern and eastern ones fall steeply to the Maritsa valley. In wet weather the steep sections need care.
One described route starts at the Tsarska Bistritsa palace above Borovets and follows the Musalenska Bistritsa past Velchov bridge, the Markudzhik 2 lift station and hut Musala: about 10.6 km and 1,360 m of ascent, roughly 5 hours. It is long and meant for fit hikers.
