Mestala is a travel guide dedicated to the best places to visit in Bulgaria. We bring together the country's mountains, lakes, caves, beaches, trails, historic towns, and cultural sites so travellers can discover Bulgaria with confidence — in English and Bulgarian.

Each place has its own detailed page with photos, location on the map, and practical information to help you plan.
How we research
I travel around Bulgaria and know most of the places on Mestala first-hand, and every guide is based on that real-life experience. Prices, opening hours and transport details are checked against official sources such as operators, municipalities and park authorities, and guides that quote prices show the month they were last checked.
