Vazela (2,620 m) is a peak on the main ridge of Northern Pirin, east of Banderishki chukar. Its name, "the knot", comes from the Todorin side ridge starting here and heading north, while the main ridge turns south. The Banderitsa cirque and the cirques of the Vasilashki and Bashliyski lakes all begin at Vazela.
It is neither rocky nor difficult: grassy and approachable from every side, with no crests or walls. That is why it gets plenty of visitors, as the path from hut Vihren to Tevno lake passes right by it.

Late spring through early autumn (May–September) is best for Vazela, when trails are clear of snow and weather is most stable. Higher peaks may hold snow into June and see fresh snow as early as October. Winter visits are for experienced mountaineers with proper gear.
