Golyam Tipik (2,646 m), also called Golyam Tipits or Tipitsa chukar, is the highest of the three Tipitsite peaks on the main ridge of Northern Pirin, between Vazela to the northwest and Prevalski chukar to the southeast. The three peaks ring the Tipitsa cirque and its lakes: two permanent ones and a small one that dries out.
Golyam Tipik stands southwest of the lakes. Its slopes towards the cirque are steep and grassy; to the southwest, towards the Bashliyski cirque, they are scattered with rockfall and grassy gullies. On the northeast a steep scree runs down to two of the upper Vasilashki lakes.
From hut Demyanitsa the summit is about 2 hours along the blue-marked path towards the Tevno ezero shelter.

Late spring through early autumn (May–September) is best for Golyam Tipik, when trails are clear of snow and weather is most stable. Higher peaks may hold snow into June and see fresh snow as early as October. Winter visits are for experienced mountaineers with proper gear.
