Muratov Peak (2,669 m) is one of the most iconic and visually striking peaks in Northern Pirin. Shaped like an almost perfect four-sided pyramid, it towers over the surrounding glacial cirques and is a favorite destination for mountain enthusiasts seeking alpine landscapes. Topography and Features - Location: Situated on the main ridge between Hvoynati Peak and the jagged Donchovi Karauli ridge. - A Key Junction: The peak serves as a major hub from which the Gredaro Ridge and the Sinanitsa Side Ridge branch out. - Alpine Appeal: Its north and east faces are particularly steep and are renowned spots for rock climbing and winter mountaineering. - Geology: Composed entirely of granite, the peak is a testament to the rugged, enduring nature of the Pirin range.
