Shishkovitsa (2,662 m) is a peak in Rila above the Beli Iskar reservoir. The dam stands in the Kulata area between Shishkovitsa and Kovach and is one of the highest-altitude reservoirs in Europe. It was built between 1935 and 1945 and supplies about a fifth of Sofia's drinking water.
Zeleni vrah is about 1.6 km to the south and Yosifitsa to the southwest; about 3 km to the north begins the Skakavtsite group.

Late spring through early autumn (May–September) is best for Shishkovitsa, when trails are clear of snow and weather is most stable. Higher peaks may hold snow into June and see fresh snow as early as October. Winter visits are for experienced mountaineers with proper gear.
