The Water Museum in Blagoevgrad is the first museum of its kind in Bulgaria. The local water company (ViK Blagoevgrad) created it for its 60th anniversary, and it tells how water reaches the town's homes.
The exhibition fills five rooms and covers almost every period of water supply in Blagoevgrad, from old taps and asbestos pipes to the modern equipment of recent years. It shows old photographs, drawings and water meters used decades ago.
A rest area was added to the museum later.
