Dautov Peak (2,597 m) is a peak on the main ridge of northern Pirin, built of crystalline schist. In 1942 it was renamed Garbets, but the new name never caught on.
1.4 km to the west along the main ridge, across a wide saddle overgrown with dwarf pine, is Bezimen Vrah (2,595 m). At Dautov Peak the ridge turns south and as far as Kamenishki Vrah it is broad, gentle and grassy. 600 m south-east of the summit, in a deep grassy fold, is Dautovo lake, which usually dries up in autumn.
Seen from the west, south and east, the peak is dome-shaped; its southern and eastern slopes are gentle and grassy. To the west is a dry, stony cirque overgrown with dwarf pine, and to the north another unnamed cirque, into which the north-east face drops almost vertically for about 300 m. The best-known legend about the name tells of the apprentice Mito, who died in a strong wind while carrying his beloved up to the summit at the demand of her father and the bey. We found no waymarked route to the summit itself in the sources.
