Shkorpilovtsi is a village in Dolni Chiflik municipality, Varna province, with 683 inhabitants (NSI, end of 2025). It lies about 28 km south of Varna, 1–2 km from the shore and 6–7 km south of the Kamchia river mouth.
Turn off the main Varna – Burgas road at Staro Oryahovo and drive through Novo Oryahovo to the village. Dolni Chiflik is 14 km to the west.
Shkorpilovtsi was declared a local seaside climatic resort in 1963. Today it is mostly holiday bases, hotel complexes and villas. The climate is continental-Mediterranean, softened by the Black Sea. The protected zone was declared on 4 December 2007 and is overseen jointly by the Burgas and Varna environmental inspectorates.
