Mramornata Cave lies in the Alchov Rid area above the Beglovitsa quarter of Berkovitsa, at about 469 m above sea level. It was declared a natural landmark in 1971; the protected area covers 16.22 ha and includes a forest park.
The cave is small: about 50 m of passages in limestone, almost level. It is known for its marble formations and its cave fauna, but it has not been studied in detail. The natural landmark was declared to protect the cave and the old sweet chestnut trees around it.
The cave has been sealed off to protect it from damage and looting, and it is not developed for tourists. Do not enter it without experienced cavers. In the protected area it is forbidden to break or scratch the rocks, divert water, or cut or break trees and shrubs.
The site is about 2.5 km from the centre of Berkovitsa along a forest road.
