“Millennium History” is one of the three branches of the eco-trail network above Sveti Vlas, in the eastern foothills of Stara Planina. It is waymarked in red and is about 6 km long.
It starts at the central square of Sveti Vlas and climbs on forest roads and paths to the hills above the town. The walk takes 2–4 hours, depending on pace. The network’s three branches total about 19 km.
The hilltops on the routes give a wide panorama over Sveti Vlas and the sea. Along the way there are fountains with spring water, gazebos and shelters, and ten signposts and five information boards with maps and notes on the mountain and its wildlife.
A moderate climb on well-marked paths. Comfortable hiking shoes are enough; in summer start early and carry water.
The path starts in Sveti Vlas itself, about 6 km from Sunny Beach and 7–8 km from Nessebar.
