Kaymakchal (2,762 m), also called Izvorets, is a granite peak on the Polezhan side ridge of Northern Pirin. Four cirques meet at it: Gazey to the south, Yulen to the north-northwest, Perlesh to the north-northeast and Disilitsa to the east. To the south-southeast begins the rocky Ushitsite crest; a long saddle links Kaymakchal to its first summit, Golyama Strazha. Konarevo peak lies to the north along the ridge.
Kaymakchal is an easy peak, but no marked path leads to it. The usual approaches are up the gullies of its southern slopes from the Gazey cirque, through the Yulen cirque, or from the Disilitsa cirque past Pleshivo lake. The peak lies in the Yulen reserve inside Pirin National Park, so check with the park rangers first.

Late spring through early autumn (May–September) is best for Kaymakchal, when trails are clear of snow and weather is most stable. Higher peaks may hold snow into June and see fresh snow as early as October. Winter visits are for experienced mountaineers with proper gear.
