The Cell School in Novi Pazar, Shumen province, is a house museum in the home where the school opened in 1840. The building is a cultural monument of local importance.
The building keeps its original architecture and its quiet Revival-era courtyard. The exhibition recreates the daily life and ambitions of people of the National Revival.
The school opened in 1840 on the initiative of local notables Petko Kuroglu, Valcho Markovchel and Mircho Radioglu. It was housed in the home of Iliya Valchev Talimata, its founder and first teacher. The building was restored in 1983, for the centenary of Novi Pazar being declared a town.
