The route links the two best-known huts above Bansko in Northern Pirin, Vihren and Demyanitsa. It is marked in green, the path is about 9 km, and the walk takes about 4 hours 30 minutes.
From Vihren hut the path climbs to the Todorini lakes (Todorini Ochi) in the cirque below Todorin Vrah. It then crosses the Todorina Porta saddle (about 2,560 m), the highest point of the walk, between Malka Todorka and Vasilashki Chukar. From there it descends past the Vasilashki lakes to Demyanitsa hut. From Demyanitsa the Vasilashki lakes are about an hour away and the Todorini lakes about 1 hour 40 minutes, so both make good day trips.
The climb to the saddle is about 600 m and rocky. Above 2,200 m there is no forest or shade. The season is July to September. In winter the slopes on the way to Demyanitsa are prone to avalanches.
From Demyanitsa hut, yellow waymarks lead to Bezbog hut (about 4:30 h) and blue ones to the Tevno Ezero shelter (about 3 h).
