The eco trail leads to the springs of the Mladezhka river near the village of Mladezhko, Malko Tarnovo municipality, in Strandzha Nature Park. It is short and easy, with railings and wooden footbridges.
The path follows the river up to its source and the caves above it. The section near the village is about 3 km; a longer variant continues via the village of Evrenozovo, about 15 km in all. The springs and caves are protected together as the “Caves and Springs of the Mladezhka River” natural landmark.
Above the springs are the Leyarnitsite — caves inhabited in antiquity. Along the path there is a viewpoint at the Kaleto area, information boards and places to rest and picnic. 1.5 km west of the village are the ruins of Golyamoto Kale, the largest late-antique fortress in the Bulgarian part of Strandzha.
An easy walk, suitable for families too. The wooden lookout tower by the path has been reported as unstable — do not climb it.
Mladezhko is 32 km from Malko Tarnovo and 54 km south of Burgas.
