The route leads from the village of Cherni Osam, Troyan municipality, to Sadinata peak (860 m) above the valley of the Cherni Osam river. It is waymarked in blue and is about 2.3 km long.
The path leaves the village and climbs through forest to the summit. The climb is about 360 m and takes about an hour. A waymarked path also leads to Sadinata from the village of Oreshak.
The summit gives a bird’s-eye view of the Cherni Osam valley, the forests around it, Stara Planina and Troyan. Cherni Osam has a Natural History Museum that began in 1956 as a school collection put together by the local biology teacher, Iliya Iliev. Its three halls show plants and animals of the central Stara Planina.
A short but steady climb. Comfortable hiking shoes and water are enough.
Cherni Osam lies in the valley of the river of the same name, south of Troyan, just beyond Troyan Monastery.
