Hipokrat museum
The Hippocrates Museum Pharmacy is located in the historic house of Dr. Sotir Antoniadi, built in 1872. Operating as a pharmacy until 1947, it was once one of the best-equipped medical facilities in Plovdiv. Today, it serves as the only museum in Bulgaria dedicated to the history of pharmacy during the Bulgarian National Revival and the early 20th century.
Visitors can explore an era where medicines were crafted entirely from natural ingredients—herbs, minerals, and natural fats. The museum showcases antique pharmaceutical equipment and explains the traditional methods used to treat patients in the past.
