Majestically situated in the northern part of the mountain range, within the Blagoevgrad region, Kelyo offers a sanctuary for seekers of true mountain adventure and authentic nature. Though not among the highest peaks, Kelyo impresses with its panoramic views, encompassing the alpine ridges of Pirin, including the nearby Kamenitsa and Muratov peaks, as well as the stunning Kelyo Lakes nestled in the cirque below. The ascent to Kelyo (typically from "Gotse Delchev" Hut or "Bezbog" Hut via Dobrinishte) offers diverse terrain – from coniferous forests and lush pastures to the rocky sections characteristic of the high mountains. The trail to Kelyo is challenging but accessible to hikers with good physical fitness.
