The well-marked and easy-to-follow path begins with a gentle ascent through fragrant coniferous forests. With every step, the air becomes cleaner, and the sounds of civilization give way to the birdsong and the whisper of the wind. After about half an hour, the forest gradually thins out, revealing vast alpine meadows, carpeted with wildflowers in the summer. The climb to Boykov Vrah (2090 m / 6857 ft) is gradual, with a few steeper sections, yet it poses no difficulty for an average hiker. From the peak, you will be rewarded with magnificent 360-degree views. Peaks of Northern Pirin, parts of Rila to the north, and the Western Rhodopes to the east will unfold before you.
